ABOUT ME

I’m Adrian Lopez Valle, a 3D animator, filmmaker, and music artist based in California, USA. I started creating content at the age of 10 under the online alias Mariotravel209.

I specialize in producing animations, short films, and music. My journey into 3D animation began in late 2015 when I was searching for a new way to express my art and storytelling on YouTube. In 2016, I ventured into music production, experimenting with software like FL Studio, Ableton, and more.

Every day, I put my heart into making these projects as entertaining and enjoyable as possible for my audience. This is my passion and dream. To share my art with the world. And of course, I want to see it come to life too.

ORIGINS OF THE 209

“Mariotravel209 Animations” started out as a YouTube channel in March 29, 2010. Originally intended to be a travel vlog channel featuring Mario plush toys as the “hosts”. This was also when it was simply called “Mariotravel209”.

The 209 on the name was simply a random number I came up on the spot. As the years went by, however, I decided to dedicate the “209” number by having it become a reference to my golden years in creative inspiration (2009). Now the name resides as a vow. A promise to never change. Despite being an odd name. The name now symbolizes my present self connecting with my past self.

On September 27, 2015, I’ve released my very first 3D animation created in Source Filmmaker. Having prior experience with the Source engine, this allowed me to take advantage of the software’s tool set and study the principles of character animation. Several months later, I dived into music production which has allowed me to score for my own projects, too! Now that’s one big plus, right there.

Since then, I’ve been experimenting with more software by exploring a numerous amount of ideas and learning new programs such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, etc., releasing projects such as, The Art of Justice, which was nominated for the 2017 Saxxy Award, Luigi Meets A Combine Soldier, Music Videos, and more to come.

On October 31, 2020, the channel was rebranded from “Mariotravel209” to “Mariotravel209 Animations” in an effort to separate my music career from animation and the rest is history.

You might think that’s just my way of trying to sound cool. Which, honestly, probably just makes me sound like a dork. But here’s the scoop!

Ever since middle school, I’ve taken these three words seriously. To me, they are the foundation of my creative process. You can’t have one without the other, and together, they are essential to bringing ideas to life. Imagination is the space where all ideas reside. Inspiration is the seed that sparks them. Creativity is what brings them together in different ways. Think of it as a “tool set” for making something truly your own.

That said, I always encourage new artists to take this with a grain of salt. Even with this mindset, none of it will matter without self-discipline and persistence. Every artist has their own way of creating, and this is just the one that has stuck with me.

As a way to bring some of my personality into the brand, it became my slogan… and it has been ever since!

Mariotravel209 was the original name of my YouTube channel before it was rebranded to Mariotravel209 Animations. This change was made to separate my music career from my hobbies. The branding also differs visually between the two.

“Mariotravel209” uses a dark-gray/white color scheme.

“Mariotravel209 Animations” uses either a dark-gray/red OR white/red color scheme.

At five years old, I would pick up my dad’s camera and place my plush toys in front of it, voicing the characters and sending them on adventures. This was the beginning of my journey into filmmaking and content creation.

Later in life, I discovered The Cute Mario Bros. on YouTube, which inspired me to create my own channel. The original concept was a travel channel with my Mario plush toy as the host. Since 2010, YouTube has been the platform where I share all my wacky ideas with the world.

Honestly, I don’t blame you for getting confused by this. Not sure what 10 year old me was thinking when I abbreviated my name in this fashion.

Yes, it’s pronounced “Mario-Tee-Two-Oh-Nine”.

And no, I’m not sponsoring any hotels nor do I work for them. 🙂

No. 🙃

Ah, Mariotravel209 Studios. My film production company, where it resides in a modest valley with tall grass mountains and the suburban neighborhoods of West Coast, California. Also, the sun’s always setting here for some reason.

Mariotravel209 Studios is located in:
0209 West Inspire Blvd,
West Coast, California 10209

Mariotravel209 Studios is split into five sectors. Sector A, B, C, D, E.

Sector A – Media
This is where filming operations and budget meetings are held. This building features the conference room, which is where interviews and meetings occur. The conference room has been featured in YouTube videos such as the Patreon Trailer and Funny TF2 Fails!

Sector B – Stages
Here you’ll find the studio sets and stages where some filming occurs, even though most of the time I prefer to shoot on location. This is where you’ll also find our private casino and resort!

Sector C – Maintenance
The power source that’s keeping the lights on at Mariotravel209 Studios. Literally! We are proud to be using Black Mesa technology that provides clean renewable energy throughout the complex. You’ll find a video of Sector C on YouTube with these bozos.

Sector C also hosts a Dimensional-Portal® transit system, where popular characters from different universes appear to develop their film careers and/or star in movie roles.

Sector D – Cinemas
What’s a movie studio without a movie theater? I don’t know, but here is where you’ll find our multiplex conjoined with our in-house medical and fire department.

Sector E – Inspire Community Center
In front of Sector A is the “Inspire Community Center”, originally created as a space for West Coast neighbors to host community events. However, there’s always a Counter-Strike match being hosted here, so community events are few and far between these days. I will admit, it does make filming videos difficult with all the noise in the background.

While things are usually busy around here, you’re more than welcome to join us and fellow travelers here on our Discord server!
